January is glaucoma awareness month. As an optometric provider, one of the eye diseases that  I would see fairly commonly in my practice is glaucoma. Now, I worked in Veterans Affairs hospital, so my patient base just due to age was at a higher risk for this disease. Glaucoma itself is a disorder that can be easily managed if caught early.
